The various Avro Lancaster profiles produced by Garry R Fenton Aviation Art Profiles are all full of extraordinary and distinctive exterior features and details.

These include, the accurate positioning of the rivets, correct type of astrodome fitted the precise camouflage pattern with the exact positioning and placement of squadron codes, serial numbers aerials/transmitters and weathering details.

The Artwork profiles all display exhaust staining and fine lighting details, some of the early Lancaster profiles are drawn with a more ‘patchy’ paint work finish.  Features are added at the end of the build using a different drawing package where I can work with multiple levels of transparency and control individual layers enabling me to work on the very fine details.

The exterior of the profiles also include all the flying control surfaces, ailerons, trim tabs, with lowered flaps, rudders, radiator cowling, open bomb bay doors and landing gear where applicable to the image.

Detailed Aircrew -

All wearing the correct uniform for that Lancaster which are positioned in their stations all with detailed interiors.

Nose, Mid Upper and Tail Turret -

Using various technical and internal drawings to ensure that the profile is produced with the correct type of gun turret installed, this being either the Fraser Nash 20, 50, 82 & 64, the Browning .303 or the Martin .5 turret.

Squadron Markings & Nose Art -

All profiles have accurate markings applied to the fuselage complete with detailed nose art where applicable to type.

Crew Entrance Door -

On some profiles these display the rear crew access door open showing the internal structure of the aircraft including control rods and a flare chute.

Camouflage & Paint Schemes -

Using photographs and books these are accurately drawn and positioned on the artwork profile.

Hubs & Wheels -

Shown below are the  different types which have been drawn for the correct Lancaster including the different detailing for both sides of the Hub.
